The water cost chain

Cultivation water can become plant uptake, irrigation runoff, RO reject, humidification, condensate, cooling loss, sanitation flow, stored water, process discharge, or a leak.

Water and sewer bills may apply different rates and assumptions to those flows. The financial opportunity can involve billing treatment, measurement, system performance, operating practice, reuse, leak correction, or capital investment. The first step is to make the physical and billed records tell the same story.

Cultivation water and sewer questions

Why review sewer charges separately from water use?

Water and sewer may use different rates, assumptions, meters, seasonal averages, discharge factors, or classifications. Water entering a cultivation facility does not automatically follow one path to the sewer, so the billed treatment should be understood separately.

What water streams matter in a cultivation facility?

The map may include municipal or well source, filtration, RO product, RO reject, storage, irrigation, runoff, drainage, sanitation, humidification, cooling, condensate, leaks, process use, reuse, and discharge. The relevant streams depend on the facility.

Can RO reject water be reduced or reused?

Possibly, depending on source quality, system design, recovery ratio, maintenance, storage, intended reuse, discharge limits, cultivation requirements, and economics. A technically possible reuse path is not automatically operationally or financially suitable.

Do you guarantee a sewer adjustment or water savings?

No. Billing corrections, exemptions, credits, submetering treatment, and conservation results depend on provider rules, measurement, facility conditions, documentation, implementation, and applicable requirements.
